Not sure if the Boot Camp is for you? Here’s what one student wrote about her experience in last year’s Boot Camp:
I’ve been working in Revit for 8 years, and recently became a BIM Manager. While I know plenty about the program, I knew I could use some help with the nuances of managing over fifty users across five disciplines. BIM Management isn’t just about templates and libraries, it’s training, fielding questions on a daily basis, research, and constant self-improvement. The BIM Manager Boot Camp put all this into better focus for me, and connected me with like-minded managers across the world (literally). For seven weeks we didn’t just get a standard class, we got unique content and a tailored experience where we learned from our shared frustrations and successes.
I’ve definitely become more effective through this program, and it helped me set goals that will make me even more so. The class content paid for itself. And it may sound corny, but the connections made are priceless. Having a support community has been amazing and taken my work to another level. Thanks again for the great class. Well worth the investment.

Questions and Answers
Jordan and I have been getting a lot of questions about the upcoming BIM Manager Boot Camp, which is great. In case you have similar questions, we put together this Q & A. Here goes:
Q. When does the BIM Manager Boot Camp start and how long does it last?
A. The Boot Camp starts Thursday (October 10th) and runs for eight weeks. Every week, we’ll meet online for a 1-hour training session and a 1-hour small group discussion.
Q. I’m in a different time zone. Can I still participate even if I can’t make every session?
A. Yes! All of the sessions will be recorded. You’ll get access to the recording the following day. Plus, you’ll have access to ALL of the session recordings after the seven weeks of the Boot Camp. You can view the recordings online or download them. We are going to schedule the discussion groups based on time-zone so we should be able to accommodate most students.
Q. How much does the BIM Manager Boot Camp cost? Do you offer payment plans?
A. The cost of the Boot Camp is $799 USD. If you want to spread the payments out, there is a 3-month payment option as well. The cost for this option is $275 / month for 3 months. Click here to enroll using either payment option.
Q. I’m not a full-time BIM manager but I take care of those responsibilities along with project work. Is the Boot Camp for me?
A. Yes! If you’re juggling BIM manager duties as well as project work, the BIM Manager Boot Camp is definitely for you. I don’t need to tell you that you’re pressed for time. You’re dealing with your own deadlines as well as everyone else’s. It’s not easy. During the Boot Camp, you’ll learn the technical, management AND the productivity skills you need to survive and thrive in this position.
Q: I’m going to Autodesk University during the course and won’t be available for that week’s sessions. Can I still participate?
A: Yes. During the first session, we’re going to identify any potential schedule conflicts. If there are a number of people going to AU, we’ll adjust the schedule accordingly. Likewise, if you’re going to be on vacation for one of the weeks, we’ll work with you to make sure you get the full Boot Camp experience.
Q. What’s going to be covered in each session?
A. You can see the outline of all the sessions here. Jordan and I are fine-tuning the specific details for each session right now. We’re also going to leave in some flexibility, so we can tailor the sessions to exactly what you’re looking for. We will post updates to the outline shortly.
Q. I don’t know any other BIM managers. I don’t really have anyone to talk to get new ideas, discuss best practices, or vent my frustrations. Is there a community component to the BIM Manager Boot Camp?
A. Yes. This is one aspect we’re really excited about. Being a BIM manager can be a lonely job. Mostly likely, you’re the only one in your office. You don’t have peers you can collaborate or vent your frustrations with. Believe me, I know! That’s why we created a private Slack channel just for the Boot Camp. This will be a place where we can all hang out, chat, collaborate, and vent (lots of venting). One of the biggest benefits to the Boot Camp is the community we’ll develop during the length of the course and beyond.
Q. I’m pretty good with all the technical stuff. Are you going to cover other aspects of being a BIM manager as well?
A. Yes! For a lot of us, the technical parts come easy. It’s the other stuff that’s difficult. We designed BIM Manger Boot Camp to provide advanced training on not just the software, but also the soft skills needed in the job. This includes managing people, training and outreach.
Q. This is exactly what I need! I’m ready to take my career to the next level. Where can I sign up?
A. Great! Click the links below to enroll in BIM Manager Boot Camp.
There are two ways you can enroll in BIM Manager Boot Camp; a single payment of $799 USD or 3-monthly payments of $275 USD. Click the links below to enroll using either option.
