Hey, it’s Michael from ArchSmarter.
Greetings from the shores of Prince Edward Island! I’m away on vacation this week, enjoying some time off at the beach. In an effort to do as little work as possible this week, I dug through the Thursday Top 5 archives to find some oldies but goodies. I’ll be back in the office next week but in the meantime, I’m going to sit back, relax, and soak up some rays,
Without further ado, here are 5 things to check out this week:
#1: The Case for AI in Design
Does the mere mention of Artificial Intelligence send you running for the hills? Do you see visions of West World or ExMachina? If so, no need to worry. This article by Yassin Ashour will allay your concerns as he makes the case for incorporating artificial intelligence and machine learning to the AEC industry. Thanks Yassin!

#5: Four Mind-set Shifts to Make You More Productive

Let Gwen Moran of Fast Company key you in to four changes that you can make to your work mind-set to help ensure that you don’t find yourself becoming the HIPO in the room.
Question of the Week
This week’s question comes from ARK member Elizabeth Evanoo. She’s interested in hearing how you manage and upgrade your Revit content library. Do you copy and upgrade your library for each version? Do you keep an “old” version that’s accessible for all version? Or are you using a content management system like Avail , Hive, or UNIFI?
That’s all from me. Hope you’re having a great week.
PS. Want a chuckle? Here’s a cartoon from XKCD that I really liked. It’s good to take the long view when you’re feeling overwhelmed in the short term.
